ACES Picked for Free Website Makeover!

ACES is poised to receive more than 200 hours of professional services – all donated by programmers from Sierra Bravo and the web development community at large – as one of the 12 winners of Sierra Bravo’s Overnight Website Challenge. The result will be a fabulous, fully functional website! Event sponsors New Horizons of Minnesota will donate computer training and VISI will give ACES a year of free web hosting. In-kind sponsors of the Overnight Website Challenge are Buffalo Wild Wings, Bruegger’s, Chipotle, Peace Coffee, Red Bull, and Umbria Pizza.

BACKGROUND: ACES staffers sniffed out this opportunity a year ago while attending NetSquared Twin Cities meetings through the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits. Staff waited patiently until fall, when this year’s contest was announced. A.C.E.S. applied, you wrote testimonials, and we won!

“Picking the top 12 out of 46 eligible nonprofits was tough – all do good work and all are deserving of this opportunity,” said Sierra Bravo Overnight Website Challenge judge Dan Grigsby, founder of multiple startups and tech community organizer. “It’s amazing to see what 120 web developers can accomplish in 24 hours.”

WHEN: 8:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday, March 1
