ACES Students' Q&A with Vikings Percy Harvin
A team of 11 lucky ACES students from Linwood-Monroe and Green Central schools wanted to know more about electrifying Vikings rookie wide receiver Percy Harvin, so the students researched Percy and came up with 11 questions for him. These same students attended the November 29 Vikings game versus the Chicago Bears as part of the NFL Play 60 national youth health and fitness campaign. At the game, the team of 11 students participate in on-field pre-game festivities and met their favorite Vikings player . . . Percy Harvin!
Erik: How does it feel playing in front of so many people?
Percy: I just take it all as a blessing. I know people in the stands would love to be on the field playing, so I look at it as a privilege to be able to play.
Steve: Did you go to college to be a football player?
Percy: I did go to college to be a football player, but I understand that one snap could be the end of it. I went to get an education too, so it wasn’t just football.
Luis: How does it feel being teammates with Brett Favre?
Mubarak: Do you think the Vikings will go to the Superbowl?
Jaquan: How hard do you have to work to play professional football?
Randy: What do you like most about playing football?
Vanessa: How many touchdowns do you have in your life, since you started playing?
Tracey: Why is football your favorite sport?
Filagot: How do you feel about being a front-runner for offensive rookie of the year?
Terrico: How did you feel at your first NFL game?
Pong: What have you learned from past challenges in life and how has that helped you be a better player?
And from ACES staffers:
Chad: Who is faster, you or Adrian Peterson?
Catherine: Who is/was the most influential person in your life outside football?
