SPPS Administrator Joins ACES Board
St. Paul Public Schools Elementary Assistant Superintendent Sharon Freeman recently joined ACES Board of Directors. As an ACES board member, she will help ACES strengthen its longtime partnership with St. Paul Public Schools as ACES continues its quality and growth initiatives. In her current capacity with the district, she supervises 18 elementary schools and heads the district’s mentoring and tutoring programs.
Sharon joined St. Paul Public Schools in 1997, as a teacher. She quickly moved through the ranks of the school district and in 2003 became a principal. Following four years as a principal, one of her primary responsibilities within the district was to coordinate its efforts toward raising student achievement. She has been at her current position, formerly know as executive director of elementary education, since 2008.
Sharon holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota and a Masters of Education from the University of St. Thomas.
ACES congratulates and welcomes Sharon!
