ACES Adds Development & Marketing Intern
ACES is excited to add University of St. Thomas junior Lauren Marosok to its staff. Specializing in public relations and advertising, Lauren discovered ACES through their partnership with St. Thomas this fall. She will be in charge of ACES’ public relations, development, and marketing efforts.
Lauren is very excited to be at ACES and comes to the organization with a background in tutor/mentor programs for students, having served Cristo Rey High School in Minneapolis. In fact, her passion for community involvement in education began before college.
“I graduated from a high school where many of my friends and peers dropped out of school, or never went anywhere after graduation,” she said. “After witnessing that, I knew I wanted to be a part of a program that gives students the help and inspiration they need to succeed. ACES is a perfect example of that initiative.”
After college, Lauren plans on attending graduate school for public relations (her choices are currently USC, NYU, and the U of M), but for now she is focusing on her current involvements. Aside from working with ACES, Lauren is also a part of Gamma Sigma Sigma at St. Thomas, which is a community service sorority. “Service is a life changing opportunity. It allows you to step outside of your comfort zone, and see the world from a different view,” she noted.
Lauren spends much of her time with ACES at ACES school sites and events, so if you see her at an ACES function, make sure to say hi!
